I am about 7w3d preggo, and i have been really sick! I cry all the time, and i tell you this, I am never going to do it again! I would rather adopt. I know it is just being sick right now and i will change my mind once i start to feel better, but that is how i feel right now.
I am turning 29 this year and we have to get an IUI, so I don't see another in my future, I was thinking of adopting when my children were older so they understand that the child may need more attention then them. They could also help, being older. When they are young they don't understand why mom and dad are spending so much time with the adopted child and would grow up disliking that child. When face it is the last thing we what to do.

From what I have heard, raising a child you adopted when they were older tends to be more challenging that you might expect. The child may have been abused, neglected, etc. Even if they haven't been, going from their original family then into the foster care system (or an orphanage if you are thinking about international adoption) and THEN into your family will cause emotional issues that can be hard for them to deal with. They may have behavioral problems, etc.

The younger the child is the less problems there tend to be.

However, I've also heard that adopting an older child can be incredibly rewarding. I'm considering doing it myself.

I suggest you look around the forums and talk to people who have adopted older kids to help you decide.
