Please research this before getting your annual flu vaccine! I am a Infection Control Nurse in Long Term Care and have in the past believed whole heartedly and stood behind the Flu vaccine until this. We were 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant when I got the Flu vaccine at the hospital last week (Wednesday), actually saw the heartbeat on a Sonagram (baby was healthy) and on Sunday we miscarried. The CDC is NOT telling the manufacturers that Miscarriages have gone up 700% since they started adding the H1N1 to the vaccine last year. PLEASE do research on this and even though on the pamphlet that is enlcosed with the vaccine from the manufacturer states it is safe ~ it is in question and they are not telling the public this. Yes a few years ago it was safe because it did not contain the H1N1 but now it is in question there is not a lot of research on this with first trimester pregnancies. I don't want to see you end up like I did. They will tell you it is safe but go online do your own research! PLEASE don't end up a statistic like we have. I wish now I would have risked getting sick. I cannot prove it was from the vaccine but again please do research on your own before getting vaccine!
