5 weeks and 5 days, only one heartbeat
So...yesterday I went to the ER because I started to have mild bleeding. I found out I was pregnant with twins, but only one heartbeat could be found. There were definitely 2 sacs and there was an embryo in each. They discharged me with "threatened miscarriage" on my paperwork. Has this happened to anyone else and what were your results?

I don't have personal experience but that is just the beginning of the stage where a heart beat may be detected. I would find the fact that they could see development in both sacs to be encouraging. I assume they have you following up with another ultrasound soon?

Yes I go later today...hoping for good news, but preparing myself for not so good news at the same time. I'll update tonight.
